Luigi Mangione: Disgruntled Anti-Capitalist Vigilante or Newest Patsy Set Up to Take the Fall?
Something does add up...
It has now been almost two weeks since, as the story goes, vigilante Luigi Mangione killed UnitedHealth Group CEO Brian Thompson in the streets of New York City.
The lore states that Mangione was a disgruntled young man born of privilege who developed anti-capitalist views after attending university. After a surfing accident in Hawaii, he developed severe back pain and was wronged by a healthcare system that left him in agony which prompted him to strike out.
Mangione has become an icon to the Left and even some on the Populist Right for extracting vengeance from an inherently unequal capitalist system that puts profits ahead of people when administering health care. They have lionized Mangione as a hero for the people as “eat the rich” rhetoric goes mainstream within a corrupt, decaying and out-of-touch corporatized culture.
The health care system is certainly screwed up, much of the problems resulting from government intervention and mandates, and worthy of enmity, but the execution of one random healthcare CEO does not seem to offer ramifications in reforming the system. Examining the case beyond the fake news spin, the assassination of Thompson may make it easier for the healthcare system to hide its corruption.
A viral X thread has pieced together some troubling connections about the assassination, connecting corruption with UnitedHealth Group to the Pelosi family. The X posts cast serious doubt on the official story and can be summarized as follows:
The Department of Justice started an antitrust investigation into the UnitedHealth Group regarding allegations of noncompetitive practices in swallowing up companies to create a healthcare monopoly. The investigation became known to the public in Feb. 2024.
Before the antitrust investigation was announced, UnitedHealth executives were under investigation for insider trading after dumping at least $120 million in stock in the midst of the looming scandal. Thompson sold $15 million in stock before United Healthcare lost $25 billion in value after the public became aware of the antitrust investigation.
In early 2024, cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks retained long-time Nancy Pelosi fundraiser Vin Roberti as a lobbyist while Pelosi’s husband, Paul, bought 50 call options in Palo Alto worth as much as $1.25 million.
A ransomware attack is levied at Change Healthcare, part of the UnitedHealth Group conglomerate, by the BlackCat hacker group in Feb. 2024 that successfully extracts a $22 million payment from the company. This attack jeopardized the personal health records of a massive portion of the American public.
Palo Alto Networks loses 28.5% of its stock value in Feb. 2024 as Pelosi buys 20 more call options in the firm, worth as much as $250,000. In March 2024, UnitedHealth groups begins its collaboration with Palo Alto Networks to improve cybersecurity in the wake of the ransomware attack.
In May 2024, a lawsuit is filed by the Hollywood, Florida Firefighters’ Pension Fund against executives of UnitedHealth alleging insider trading and fraud regarding the millions in stock sold off before the antitrust investigation. In June 2024, the SEC creates new rules requiring companies to report major cybersecurity problems in four business days.
Police believe alleged assassin Luigi Mangione boarded a Greyhound bus in Atlanta, GA headed to New York City on either Nov. 22 or Nov. 23. He arrives in New York City on Nov. 24, two days before the UnitedHealth Group’s Investor Conference is announced to the public. On Dec. 4, Thompson is gunned down in the street by an assassin widely reported to be Mangione.
Other details make the official lore surrounding Mangione and his motive to commit the murder seem implausible. In contrary to the report that Mangione was wronged by the healthcare system, he reportedly posted on Reddit that his back surgery was successful and actually alleviated his pain. Mangione was also never insured by UnitedHealthcare so there is no logical reason for his vendetta against Thompson, a relatively obscure figure. He came from a rich family that could have easily paid for any surgery or treatment out of pocket as well. Why would Mangione go to such great lengths to seek out Thompson when he could have picked many higher-profile figures to make his stand?
Mangione was found 300 miles away at a Pennsylvania McDonalds with a backpack filled with a wealth of incriminating evidence, including a 3D-printed ghost gun, masks, thousands in cash and a generic manifesto, everything that would be needed to commit the crime. Why wouldn’t Mangione have gotten rid of these materials if he were on the run and evading a nationwide manhunt? It is also worth noting that the Biden administration has been cracking down 3D-printed guns, painting them as a major threat despite not being used any many if any high-profile crimes. Mangione’s possession of a ghost gun gives Biden and other Democrats a pretense to further their war on technology and the 2nd Amendment.
The story does not add up, suggesting that Mangione could be another patsy. Mangione was obviously a bright young man being valedictorian of his high school class before undergoing injuries, becoming isolated, likely experimenting with powerful hallucinogens, and losing his grip with reality. It is well known that the feds can find patsies and manipulate them to commit dangerous acts all the time, sometimes interdicting before they can commit the violence and crediting themselves for preventing an attack that they set up. Perhaps Mangione was one of these pawns, and the feds or whoever was really responsible conjured up a narrative that could be palatable for the masses – one of a vigilante against healthcare corruption to distract from the truth of Thompson being iced as a way of silencing his testimony and keeping the lid on corruption.
Thompson was not likely killed in a demonstration of grassroots justice but rather was silenced as part of an op to prevent a broader investigation that might have shown the extent of the corruption within the healthcare system. Mangione maintains his innocence, with his attorney Thomas Dickey claiming that he has not “seen any evidence that he's the shooter.” The public will probably never know the truth, but we should automatically be skeptical of whatever supposed truth is packaged to us by the mainstream media, especially when the story reeks of being manufactured. Many corrupt, well-connected interests had ample reasons to eliminate Thompson, and they may have found their newest Lee Harvey Oswald in Mangione to take the fall.
I think he's their new psyop. Psycholgical warfare! I've been following George Webb's latest posts. You must check them out! INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM (like actual evidence)!!! Boots on the ground, check out who this guy really is!!!! Jeffrey Prather also talking about it...
That makes more since than the MSM narrative if everything is factual.
