Shen Yun, whose tagline is “China Before Communism,” offers a tantalizing display of pageantry that cuts at the heart of the CCP’s stranglehold on the thought process of the Chinese people.
Great article! Indeed, Shen Yun is an inspiring show that uplifts audiences worldwide. It also informs and raises awareness about the Chinese Communist Party's awful human rights violations.
Supporting Shen Yun is a stand for every soul’s right to self-expression. America, that radiant torch of liberty, must confront this authoritarian menace head-on. Let’s call on Congress and the White House to host Shen Yun—show the world we mean business about freedom! Time to shine that light bright and bold!
Fingers crossed! It would be amazing if Shen Yun got invited to perform at the White House. Their performances are always so vibrant and full of energy. Let's hope it happens soon! 🤞😊
Very interesting idea and powerful message if Shen Yun performs at the White House. Let’s make it a precedence. The positive effect will be felt everywhere!
I experienced the ShenYun. It was horrifically expensive and a real let down in so much as by the last performance it was nearly the same routine over and over with different costumes. I did not receive as much anti communism message as I did their faithfullness to Buddhism. As a Christian that left me miffed that i invested so much money to be proselytized. Can't recommend this.
I saw it in Miami this year and did not think it was the same routine over and over with different costumes. I also did not think I was being proselytized either.
Let's keep it real, folks. Communism, fascism, NAZIsm and so many others were all invented by the same small group as tools of their control-manipulate-harvest business model for humanity. Blaming communism (or fascism) for anything is a distraction, a misdirection from the real puppet-masters.
I have worked in China. I know first-hand that the CCP is a blot on humanity. But we also need to remember that "China before communism" was ruled by Chinese Kuomintang nationalists (1925-1948), who were hardly paragons of virtue when it came to democracy and human rights. The same can be said for Sun Yat-Sen's Chinese republic (1911-1925) and before him were the Emperors, absolute monarchs who were probably the worst of the lot.
Although I loathe and detest the CCP, there is no denying that they have raised hundreds of millions of Chinese from subsistence level poverty. Those former peasants now live in modern, air-conditioned high-rise apartments and drive new, air-conditioned cars around sparkling new cities that have infrastructure of which most American cities can only dream. The Chinese have leapfrogged us in less than fifty years. China now has 18 cities with a population of 10 million or more.
That is an undeniable achievement of the CCP and it can be argued that the civil rights "enjoyed" by the Chinese while all this material progress was being achieved have been no worse than they were in the previous several millennia.
So, by all means let's encourage the Chinese to raise their game with regard to civil and political rights; but let's not allow ourselves to be blinded by our rulers' control-manipulate-harvest ploys into not seeing what is really happening.
We should neither consent nor acquiesce in our rulers' pivot from confronting Russia to confronting China. We should reject and loudly ridicule all the propaganda, lies and nonsense that we are fed, and insist instead on co-existing and prospering through FAIR trade.

Shen Yun is amazing! It’s more than a show— it’s a beautiful revival of China’s lost heritage. So glad to see this article supporting it!

Thank you for the article. I am a fan of Shen Yun, and I love seeing such a great write-up about it!

Amazing show overall with a good message IMO
Shen Yun is lovely, but their paper, the Epoch TImes takes way too much of a 'leaning left" turn, of late. imho
