Why President Trump May Have to Consider Recess Appointments to Persue His America First Agenda
It is incumbent upon Trump to get his cabinet appointments in by whatever means necessary to fulfill his America First agenda.
President Donald Trump has delivered on his cabinet appointments, putting forward a team of outsiders for his second term who will be able to pose major opposition against the entrenched bureaucracy in Washington D.C. unlike any team in history.
Now, the challenge will be making sure that these appointments are seated in the Senate, a chamber with many hostile anti-Trump members among its Republican ranks. RINOs in the Senate are working diligently to throw a wrench in President Trump’s agenda, abusing their role to advise and consent to run a smear campaign against Trump’s most impressive appointments.
Matt Gaetz was unfortunately an early casualty to these treacherous RINO conspirators, even though he was replaced with the equally qualified Pam Bondi. Other anti-establishment choices face uncertain futures. Tulsi Gabbard has taken a bold and principled stance against the War Machine, rankling the military-industrial lobbyists who have had a stranglehold over Republican politics for generations. RFK Jr. criticizes Big Pharma and Big Agriculture, two massive lobbies that many elected Republicans are lined up at the trough to serve.
There are RINO senators already chomping at the bit to sabotage these pivotal nominations. Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma has said that he and others cannot wait to grill Gabbard over her diplomacy attempts with Syria at a time when another forever war was in the works to depose leader Bashar al-Assad. Sen. Mike Rounds of South Dakota plans to attack RFK Jr. on his vaccine skepticism that has been widely attacked by the media. The knives will be out to derail these appointments.
RINO Senators understand that stopping the appointments of Gabbard and RFK Jr. would be the perfect way for these unscrupulous individuals to show their fealty to their corporate masters and place themselves as frontrunners to be the next controllable stooge elevated to undeserved prominence. This is why the choice must be taken out of their hands. President Trump must use recess appointments to circumvent them completely, as his predecessors Obama, Clinton and Bush have done frequently in the past.
Republicans must not be afraid to use federal power to shape society for their own ends. Hiding behind the free market or supposed checks and balances as an excuse to avoid taking bold, decisive action is not acceptable. There is a network of Koch-funded thinktanks like the American Enterprise Institute and astroturfed grassroots fronts like Americans for Prosperity that will attempt to poison the well and confuse Republicans into indecision, but Trump’s rise has positioned these fronts on the fringes of Republican politics. It is time for populism to fully take hold over America, and Republicans to finally use every tool at their disposal to dominate and demoralize their soulless opposition.
If Trump’s cabinet is appointed in recess, Democrats and weak Republicans will inevitably complain. They will call President Trump authoritarian, a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. But Democrats made no apologies about seizing unconstitutional power throughout the Obama and Biden administrations. Complains from Republicans were the furthest thing on their minds as they pushed woke insanity and transformed America from a Constitutional Republic into a socialist nightmare. Gaslighting from disingenuous Democrats should be dismissed just as quickly now that Trump is in power.
Outgoing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky has vowed there will be no recess appointments with conservative stalwart Sen. Rick Scott of Florida disagreeing on the matter. McConnell’s successor, John Thune of South Dakota, will ultimately have a great deal of say in whether these recess appointments take place. Thune will be forced to decide what his legacy will be: the patriot who helped Trump make America great again or the coward who folded to the Washington D.C. swamp and stood in Trump’s way when it mattered most.
Public pressure is in Trump’s favor and the political inertia is on his side. With billionaire right-wing financier Elon Musk reportedly threatening political damnation to all who refuse to get out of the way of Trump’s appointments, any lawmaker who attempts to hold up the process is risking humiliating disgrace unless they get with the program. Do Senate Republicans really want to go to war with Trump at the peak of his momentum and popularity? Do they want to be reviled by their constituents and scorned in their communities? The answers to these questions should be obvious and allowing recess appointments would give these Republicans political cover as Trump’s mandate takes hold.
It goes without saying that it would be easier to get RINO hacks across the finish line as cabinet appointments than principled MAGA warriors. President Trump could amass easy wins by making appointments who would get the establishment rubberstamp. These picks may look good in the short term but would ultimately put individuals that would not hesitate to stab Trump in the back should the political winds turn sour. This is why hardcore loyalists must be appointed to the cabinet no matter the political capital it takes to get them installed.
There were many subverters who wormed their way into the first Trump administration, such as Attorney General Bill Barr, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Chief of Staff John Kelly. These individuals did untold amounts of damage to the MAGA agenda and then were in place to look the other way as unprecedented electoral fraud took place in 2020. Trump cannot risk having these kinds of people lurking about within his second administration, even if it means starting up his second term with an intraparty donnybrook.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have the potential to turn the Washington D.C. status quo on its head – just these two picks alone. It is incumbent upon Trump to get these individuals appointed by whatever means necessary to fulfill his America First agenda. No stone must be unturned, no arm untwisted, to make this happen and secure the MAGA legacy. It is time to get in the mud, as grimy and ugly as that may become, to renew national greatness.
He should have the people he chooses no matter how he does that!! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
I agree with all the premises and conclusions in this article!!
